GETTING TO HAASTS BLUff
Memory Mountain, near the Aboriginal community of the Ikuntji and known also by same name Haasts Bluff which is approximatley 230 km west of Alice Springs in Northern Territory Central Australia.
It lies 230 kilometres west of Alice Springs and is located within the spectacular West MacDonnell Ranges. To the north is Ulampawarru and Anyali (Mt Edward and Mt William), and to the south is the stunning Mereenie Bluff.
Travelling west from Alice Springs on the Namatjira Drive through Glen Helen after a further 20Km you turn right on a gravel road sign posted Haasts Bluff. The road is passable in a normal vehicle for much of the year, however in rains a four wheel drive is advisable. Always check with NT Roads for road conditions and advice for driving in remote areas.
